Every year at Thanksgiving I kick off my fundraising efforts for the Huntsman Cancer Institute. I can’t think of a better way to give thanks for the health I have than to raise money to help those much smarter than me make sure others can enjoy the same blessing of health. I don’t know of a single person whose life hasn’t been affected by cancer.
Why do I run for cancer? Simple. Because I can. Really. We lost a dear friend, Marie, to cancer two years ago. What she would have given to run one more day. Every moment she had, she cherished. Isn’t that reason enough to run, bike, walk, jump, play, skip, twirl, and bounce? These bodies are gifts. Let’s use them.
Click on the link below to donate directly to my Huntsman Hero page. You can also give money directly to me and I will make sure it gets into the hands of those who can use it best. 100% of your money goes directly to research. Once again, I’m running for the Miles for Marie team. It’s my gift to my friend.
Between Thanksgiving and Christmas, I’ll also be baking mini-loaves of pumpkin chocolate chip bread. One loaf= $5 donation. Perfect neighbor gifts or post-workout treat.
Thank you in advance. Your donations matter.
